The curriculum is theme-based and designed to support learning through art and music. Many activities are introduced to address cognitive and language skills such as problem-solving, reasoning, experimenting, creativity, and listening/responding. Also introduced will be the concepts of gross and fine motor skills. Gross motor skills; using the bigger movements of the body, such as jumping and running, and fine motor skills; using the small muscles of the fingers, toes, lips, and wrists.
The curriculum provides a variety of hands on activities such as block building, storytelling, creative dramatics, math manipulatives, sensory play, music and movement and experimenting with an assortment of art materials.
New this year, a 45 minute well known music program, "Music Together", is taught once a week by a trained teacher. Caregivers are welcome to join and be a part of this. 2 Cd's and a music book are included in the tuition for the student to take home.
The children will develop independence and language interaction as they play with their peers and learn personal responsibility. Through taking turns, sharing, listening and expressing their feelings they will continue to develop socially with their classmates.
