The programs we are offering Fall 2017/2018 are:

Sprouts - 2 day/week program on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, 3.5 hours (8:30AM-12:00PM) for 3 and 4 year olds. They must have turned 3 by September 30th.

The sprout program engages a child to develop socially, physically and intellectually by given opportunities to be in a variety of settings. In our themed centers, they can explore and interact with other children. They have choices to play at the block center, kitchen cove, creative art corner, puzzle table, science center or sensory table. Music and movement is also very important, many different styles are integrated.

Melons - 3 day/week program on Monday/Wednesday/Friday mornings, 3.5 hours (8:30AM-12:00)  for 4 and 5 year olds. They must have turned 4 by September 30th.

The Melon program is developmentally based, with group activities, self-selected activities, an introduction to the letter of the week and exploring each month with our "World of Wonder" program themes. The children will be learning to express their ideas through first-hand, meaningful experiences in the center areas. Music and movement is also integrated with a variety of instruments for the children to explore.

As a part of this class we will be using the Handwriting Without Tears program. The "Get Set for School" program uses curriculum that includes singing, music, building, coloring and playing to build confidence in a child's beginning stages of handwriting. Watermelon Seeds Preschool believes in a multi-sensory approach to further a students education.

NEW this year  Stems- 3 day/week program on Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday mornings, 3.5 hours (8:30-12:00).                                            This Pre-K class has been added for the 2017-2018 school year! We are excited to have a room open for those children who just miss the Kindergarten cut off. We are accepting children who turn 5 between Oct.1-Dec. 1. This class will follow a project approach based curriculum. The children will study about topics that interest them through what is brought into the classroom, visitors, and nearby places. We will continue to build off language, math, and science hitting our development benchmarks along the way.
